Still can't wrap my head around this.
The indigenous people of Ireland and Scotland are "Keltic."

The basketball team is the "Seltics."

Whereas the football team is, again, Keltic. Or possibly Those Taig Bastards, if you feel like starting a fight.

This is all because Americans can't speak English properly.

some do call the indigenous people of Ireland and Scotland "Seltic" and this annoys me to no end, but I guess it is technically a legit pronunciation.
